Scholarships and cash prizes for
Children of Norwegian descent.

One objective of the
Norwegian National League is to encourage children to
investigate and learn about our rich cultural heritage. Scholarships
and cash prizes are
available to children of Norwegian descent residing in
the counties of Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, McHenry, Will
and
Kendall for award winning essays and drawings.

2012 Scholarship Applications available now.
There are four categories for scholarships:
High School senior: $1,000 download an
application
Qualifications:
current 12th grade student, Norwegian ancestry,
minimum 3.0 GPA, official High School transcript
(sealed)
acceptance at a college or university
Submit a completed application along with a 500 word original essay on a Norwegian topic
High School freshman through junior: $100 application
Qualifications: Submit a
completed application along with a 300
word original essay on a Norwegian topic
Fifth through eighth grade: $50 application
Qualifications: Submit a
completed application along with a 300 word
original essay on a Norwegian topic
First through fourth grade: $25 application
Qualifications: Submit a
completed application along with an original, hand
drawn picture of a Norwegian topic |
